Richard “Vince” Howie has 32 years of experience in the aerospace industry spanning government at the federal, state and local level plus industry experience. Vince helped stand up ATS World Wide LLC early 2016 and is the Senior Vice President and CEO. He directs the activities to build ATS into a world recognized leader in airplane transporting systems revolutionizing the way planes move around airports.
Mr. Howie also became the Aerospace & Defense Director for the Oklahoma Department of Commerce in November 2013. He was recently appointed to the Oklahoma Strategic Military Planning Commission, the Oklahoma Governor’s Unmanned Aerospace Systems Council, Oklahoma F-35 Task Force, and serves on the Oklahoma Careers Pathways Sub-committee. Prior to this position Mr. Howie retired from the U.S. Air Force in April 2012 after 29 years of service. Mr. Howie is a former member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) as an equivalent to a Bridger General in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in the Pentagon, Air Mobility Command, and Tinker Air Force Base (AFB). His Air Force career began in August 1984 at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB.
Mr Howie has a Master’s of Science in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University in Washington DC, a Masters of Arts in Management from Webster University, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from University of Central Oklahoma, was a National Securities Study Management Fellow from Maxwell School of Business, Syracuse University, and Senior Professional Military Education from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, National Defense University, Washington DC.
